I began my professional career by serving in the US Navy for over 9 years. My rapid advancement in rank combined with a sense of accomplishment by serving my country gave me many of the management and people skills that I utilize today as a leader in the Real Estate Industry. I entered the Mortgage Industry in 1986 where I quickly became a top producing loan officer and sales manager of the number 1 purchase money mortgage platform in the state. As a qualified instructor I enjoyed many hours of volunteer work teaching mortgage finance to the real estate agents in my local market as well as serving in their committees and associations. With the markets desire to create vertical integration between the real estate, title, and mortgage companies I opened my own mortgage bank that focused on this vertical integration. The combined skill sets of the Real Estate Brokers, Title Company Managers and my team of managers created instant success and the beginning of a bundling of services concept. My expertise in understanding the needs and struggles of the Realtors in the trenches created a bonding within my local industry that was second to none. After over 20 years of owning my own Mortgage Bank, I sold it to a National Bank with the intent of creating this same vertical integration on a national level. Good fortune created an introduction to CrossCountry Mortgage who had already developed at the highest level this integration with the realtors which is today giving me the opportunity to help the realtors in many markets succeed with a partnership of common goals and customer satisfaction.
